The Republic of Austria is a country located on the terrain of Eastern Alps. As a result, the nation is part of Central Europe. As in the case of Germany, Austria is composed of nine federated states. The land area of Austria covers almost 84.000 square kilometers, which is one of the smallest regions in Europe.
