A landlocked nation of Mongolia is located in East Asia and it borders Russia and China. Though it does not share borders with Kazakhstan, they are only 37 kilometers between them. With the land area of over 1.564 million square kilometers, it is the 18th largest sovereign state in the world. However, because of only 3.3 million residents, it is at the same time one of the most sparsely populated ones.
