The Republic of Nauru was formerly known as Pleasant Island. It is a microstate and an island country in one. Located in Oceania, in the Central Pacific, its nearest neighbour is Banaba Island, which is approximately 300 kilometers away.  More about Nauru The nation of the Philippines is located in the western Pacific Ocean and it is considered an archipelagic country. There are more than 7,600 islands owned by the republic. However, in most cases they are divided into three main geographical divisions, namely Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The land coverage of 300,000 square kilometers is relatively low, especially if we take into account its large population. A gigantic number of recognized regional languages (up to 19) makes this place very diverse and, as a result, with two official languages - English and Filippino. More about Philippines
