World map with selected countries highlighted.
The nation of the Philippines is located in the western Pacific Ocean and it is considered an archipelagic country. There are more than 7,600 islands owned by the republic. However, in most cases they are divided into three main geographical divisions, namely Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The land coverage of 300,000 square kilometers is relatively low, especially if we take into account its large population. A gigantic number of recognized regional languages (up to 19) makes this place very diverse and, as a result, with two official languages - English and Filippino. More about Philippines The Republic of Serbia is a landlocked nation located in the southern Pannonian Plain. It is also one of the nations located in the central Balkans. Interestingly, it is said that the country sits at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe. Belgrade is the largest city in Serbia, also being its capital. There are 8 nations that neighbour this republic, namely Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. The last, eighth neighbor is either Albania or recently broken away Kosovo.  More about Serbia
