World map with selected countries highlighted.
The nation of the Philippines is located in the western Pacific Ocean and it is considered an archipelagic country. There are more than 7,600 islands owned by the republic. However, in most cases they are divided into three main geographical divisions, namely Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The land coverage of 300,000 square kilometers is relatively low, especially if we take into account its large population. A gigantic number of recognized regional languages (up to 19) makes this place very diverse and, as a result, with two official languages - English and Filippino. More about Philippines Spain is a country located on the Iberian Peninsula. It is in Southwestern Europe with several minor areas scattered around the coast of North Africa and some islands in the Mediterranean Sea. As a result of several African exclaves, this is the only European nation that has a physical border with an African country, namely Morocco. However, the main border lines are with Portugal and France. More about Spain
