World map with selected countries highlighted.
Senegal is an African country located in the so-called Sub-Saharan region. More precisely, it is located in West Africa with such bordering nations as Mauritania, Mali, Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau. However, they also share borders with The Gambia, which is so small Senegal nearly surrounds them. The capital and the most important city in Senegal is Dakar. Noteworthy is the fact that the official language is French - the remnants of French colonizations. More about Senegal The Republic of South Africa, also known as RSA, is the southernmost country in the continent. It is one of the most important nations in Africa and in the entire world, being the 24th-most populous nation. Due to its large size, it does not have high density numbers. Interestingly, RSA has three different capital cities. The executive one is Pretoria, the judicial is Bloemfontein, and the legislative is Cape Town. Interestingly, these are not the largest - Johannesburg is the one with the largest population. More about South Africa
