The Republic of Serbia is a landlocked nation located in the southern Pannonian Plain. It is also one of the nations located in the central Balkans. Interestingly, it is said that the country sits at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe. Belgrade is the largest city in Serbia, also being its capital. There are 8 nations that neighbour this republic, namely Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. The country is surrounded by Egypt, Libya, Chad, Central African Republic, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea and the Red Sea.
