South Korea is officially recognized as the Republic of Korea (ROK). It is a highly developed country located in East Asia, in the Korean Peninsula. As we can guess, it takes the southern part of the region and shares a border with only one nation, namely North Korea. The capital city of Seoul is the largest city in the country and the fifth-largest metropolitan area in the entire world.
