Introduction

The Republic of Armenia is a landlocked nation that is located in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia. There are 4 different neighbours, namely Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Iran. However, there are also two military powers that need to be mentioned, namely the Russian peacekeeping force as well as Azerbaijan's exclave of Nakhchivan.

With a population of around 3 million Armenians, and the land coverage of 29,00 square kilometers, it is very small in size and in population. Because of that, their density is at the average level of 101 Armenians per square kilometer. Still, their GDP (PPP) is at around $33 billion, which gives them a per capita number of almost $11,000
