Introduction

The Gabonese Republic is located in Central Africa, on its west coast. The republic can be found on the equator, and as a result, they border Equatorial Guinea. Besides that, they are also neighbours with Cameroon and the Republic of the Congo.

This former French colony can boast with one of the best GDP per capita in the African region. It is all due to numerous investments. That is why even if their total GDP (with PPP factor included) is only at $38.3 billion, a small population allows citizens to have $18,647 on average - four times as high as in the case of most other African nations.
