Introduction

The official name of the nation is the Republic of Kazakhstan and it is one of the largest nations in the world. It is ranked 8th in the worldwide ranking. Interestingly, this is a transcontinental nation because of the small portion of the country that is located west of the Ural River in Eastern Europe. However, most of the lands are in Central Asia. The territory has approximately 2.7 million square kilometers. In terms of neighbours, they share borders with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. 

Economy

The GDP value of Kazakhstan is pretty high, especially if we consider the region of Europe and Central Asia. There, they are the 16th largest economy with the value of approximately $509 billion. The numbers come from 2019 and include the PPP factor. 

Another important thing to notice is GDP per capita, which basically indicates the prosperity of the average citizen. In Kazakhstan, the GDP per capita (with the PPP factor), is $27,500. It is a considerable number if we take into account the closest neighbors (the only close neighbor with larger GDP per capita is Russia with $29,000)

Population

For such a large country, Kazakhstan has an incredibly small population of around 18.5 million. As a result, it is the nation with the smallest density of 7 Kazakhstani per square kilometer.
