Introduction

The island nation on the Indian Ocean - this is the location of the Republic of Mauritius. Port Louis is its capital and at the same time the largest city. There are several additional islands that are part of the republic. However, most of 1.265 million citizens inhabit the main land where the capital is located.

It is important to notice that because of very small land coverage of 2,000 square kilometers, Mauritian density is the 10th largest in the entire world with approximately 618 people per square kilometer. As for the economy, its total GDP (PPP included) is around $31.7 billion, which makes their GDP per capita equally attractive ($25,000 on average per citizen).
