Mexico
Introduction
The United Mexican States, which is the official name of Mexico, is located in the southern portion of North America. The nation is bordered by the United States from the top, and Guatemala with Belize from the bottom. It is important to notice that it is located between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, as well as the Gulf of Mexico. It consists of 31 states and Mexico City, the capital and largest metropolis.
Economy
In spite of being in North America, its economy is most often compared to other Latino-American nations located in South America. In this respect, Mexico is the second largest economy with the GDP of $2.6 trillion only after Brazil's GDP of $3.23 trillion. As a result of this, Mexico accounts for 24% of the entire GDP of Latin America and Caribbean region, according to the data from 2019.
As far as the prosperity of every citizen is concerned, Mexico is ahead of the average for the region since it has the GDP per capita at around $20,500 (to the average of $16,890). However, it is still a relatively low value if we compare it to others. As a result of that, they are behind such nations as Chil, Argentina, or Uruguay.
