Introduction

Also known as Black Mountain, Montenegro is a nation located on the Adriatic coast near the Balkans. It is bordered by Albania, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Interestingly, the largest city in the nation and its capital covers 10% of its entire territory. It is also home for approximately 30% of the entire population.

The economy in Montenegro is certainly one of the worst in Europe with its total GDP (PPP) at the level of $12.4 million. However, because of its small population (a little over 600,000), its GDP per capita is $19,931.
