Introduction

Mozambique is the former Portugese colony located on the southeastern coast of Africa. It borders Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Eswatini. The largest city and the capital of the republic is Maputo, which was previously known as Lourenco Marques.

Even though the nation's population was a bit over 30 million in 2020, its density is only 28.7 people per square kilometer due to its large land area. In terms of total GDP (PPP), it is $41.473 billion. Sadly, it translates into GDP per capita of $1,331 even with PPP factor included.
