Introduction

The Republic of the Niger, which is the formal name for the country, is located in West Africa and its name comes from the Niger River. It is bordered by Libya, Chad, Nigeria, Bening, Malig, Algeria, and Burkina Faso. Since it is a landlocked nation, it doesn't have a direct connection to seas or oceans.

With a population of 24 million people in accordance with 2020 data, it was a sparsely populated nation. Its density was at around 12 people per square kilometer.
