Introduction

In the eastern part of the Caribbean Sea, there is a sovereign island country of Saint Lucia. Previously, its island was known as Lyonola. It is one of the smallest nations in the world with the land coverage of 617 square kilometers. It is important to remember that according to the data in 2018, its population was estimated to be at around 180,000, which makes them the 29th most densely populated nation in the world with 300 people per square kilometer. 

With regard to the economy, Saint Lucia’s total GDP (PPP included) is $2.7 billion according to the data from 2019. It means that the GDP per capita is around $15,300.
