Introduction

Previously known as Western Samoa, the Independent State of Samoa is an island country located in the subregion of Oceania, namely Polynesia. With two main islands as well as several other inhabited ones, its total land area is approximately 2,840 square kilometers. 

As of 2020, its population was a little over 202,000. It means that their density is 70 people per square kilometer. In terms of economy, their total GDP (PPP) is $1.19 billion, which translates into GDP per capita of almost $6,000.
