Introduction

The United Arab Emirates (most often abbreviated to UAE or informally called Emirates) is the nation located in Western Asia, or to be more precise at the eastern end of the Arabian Peninsula. As a result of that, there are rather few neighbors like, for example, Oman or Saudi Arabia. However, we should also remember about its maritime borders that are possible due to the Persian Gulf. There, they share borders with Qatar and Iran.

Economy

The latest data as far as the economy is concerned come from 2019. According to them, the UAE has got the GDP (PPP included) at the level of $684 billion. As a result, this is the third largest economy in the Arab world accounting for almost 10% of their entire GDP.

Another important thing to note is the GDP per capita. It shows how prosperous the nation really is. With the value of $70,100, it is the second best number in the region. Interestingly, its growth is also of utmost importance and shows future improvements.

Population

One of the reasons for such a great GDP per capita is its relatively small population. As of 2019, there are almost 10 million citizens and, as a result of that, the density is at around 100 people per square kilometer.
