Introduction

The Vatican City state, a formal name of the enclave within Rome in Italy, is a sovereign entity and the capital of the Catholics faith. This is the smallest independent state in the entire world with the land coverage of 0.49 square kilometer. It is also the smallest place in terms of population because of 825 permanent residents.

It is very difficult to estimate the total GDP of the Vatican because most of its economy is based on donations from the faithful. What is more, they earn by the sale of postage  stamps, souvenirs, and other additions such as this.
