The West African nation of Burkina Faso is one of the smallest and one of the poorest nations in the entire world. It was previously known as the Republic of Upper Volta. The land covers an area of aprpoximately 264,200 square kilometers and it is bordered by such nations as Mali, Niger, Bening, Togo, Ghana, and the Ivory Coast. More about Burkina Faso Zambia is also named the Republic of Zambia and is located at the crossroads of East, Southern and Central Africa. The country has eight neighboring countries which are, consecutively, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Angola.
