The Republic of Indonesia is located in Southeast Asia and Oceania. The region is covered with approximately 17,000 islands. As a result, it is the largest island country in the world. Interestingly, the total land coverage is the 14th largest with approximately 1.9 million square kilometers. However, due to its gigantic population, it is still a very densely populated republic.
