Officially known as the State of Israel, the country is located in Western Asia near the southeastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. There are several land-bordering neighbours of Israel, namely Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. There are also the Palestinian terrotories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The official language of Israel is Hebrew, and the capital as well as the largest city in the nation is Jerusalem. The region is characterized by its very high density due to small land coverage of 20,770 square kilometers. More about Israel Yemen is located in Western Asia. The country is also known as the Republic of Yemen with a temporary capital in Sana’a. This is also the largest city. The second capital, Aden, is in exile. Arabic is the only national language spoken within the territory of Yemen.
