The Republic of Nicaragua is the largest country located in the region of Central America. Still, its total land area of 130,375 square kilometers is only 96th in worldwide rankings. It is bordered by only two other states, namely Costa Rica and Honduras. The capital and largest city in the republic is Managua, which is also the third largest city in the Central America region.
