The nation of the Philippines is located in the western Pacific Ocean and it is considered an archipelagic country. There are more than 7,600 islands owned by the republic. However, in most cases they are divided into three main geographical divisions, namely Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The land coverage of 300,000 square kilometers is relatively low, especially if we take into account its large population. A gigantic number of recognized regional languages (up to 19) makes this place very diverse and, as a result, with two official languages - English and Filippino. More about Philippines Tonga, also known as the Kingdom of Tonga, is a Polynesian country and archipelago which consists of 169 islands. Only 36 of them are inhabited. The total size of this unique archipelago comes to about 750 square kilometres. Its entire population equals 100,651 people. Interestingly, around 70% of all the inhabitants reside on Tongatapu which is the main island. There are two major languages spoken which are English and Tongan. More about Tonga
