The Republic of Madagascar was previously known as the Malagasy republic. It is the second-largest island country in the world with a total land coverage of around 592,800 square kilometers. The nation itself owns several smaller islands around it, but the island of Madagascar is its mainland and most populated region. More about Madagascar Suriname, or Surinam, is a country located in South America. The official name is the Republic of Suriname. There are three neighboring countries which are French Guiana, Guyana and Brazil. To the north it is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean.
