World map with selected countries highlighted.
The nation of the Philippines is located in the western Pacific Ocean and it is considered an archipelagic country. There are more than 7,600 islands owned by the republic. However, in most cases they are divided into three main geographical divisions, namely Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The land coverage of 300,000 square kilometers is relatively low, especially if we take into account its large population. A gigantic number of recognized regional languages (up to 19) makes this place very diverse and, as a result, with two official languages - English and Filippino. More about Philippines Located on the southwest coast of West Africa, the Republic of Sierra Leone is a very tiny nation with approximately 71,000 square kilometers. Freetown is its largest city and at the same time the capital.  More about Sierra Leone
